This was supposed to be my first post....the new windows arrived on Tuesday July 17, 2012, but for some reason this post failed to publish!?
I suppose it is a bit unorthodox to start the blog from the middle vs the beginning, however today is such a milestone for The Golf House, it seems silly to not start the blog from the most obvious sign of progress!
I have some sort of a picture of how your golf house would like without the drapes. The windows complement the structure of the house, giving it a well-defined contour. The windows will make the house appear brighter as well, which I think is perfect for the house.

Those are pretty awesome windows. Always remember to clean and restore the wood window framing with the use of epoxy, wood protectant, and paint. Water-based acrylic paints won’t easily peel off. Keeping window frames painted every few years is one way to protect and extend the service life of your windows.

I totally agree with Keven. The number of windows you have installed requires you to be extra-cautious with repairs and maintenance. On a different note, what treatments did you use with these windows? I think shutters will work tremendously well because your windows cover a huge area. They won’t make the place look too crowded, plus they’re easy to clean and maintain.

The type of window you used is a bow window. Closely similar to a bay window, only it employs a lot more panes. It lets in a lot of natural light and provides a good view of the outside. It is tricky to install this type of window, so it helps to have an experienced assistant to make the job easier. And, make sure cap flashings are installed to minimize water intrusion.
